About Drew S. Richman

After graduating from St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas and being admitted to the Texas bar in 1999 I practiced civil litigation in state and federal courts throughout the state of Texas. My practice involved complex legal claims in the areas of business litigation, wrongful death and injury, governmental tort claims, bad faith insurance practices, and employment litigation. In 2006 I became a partner in the law firm of Martin & Cukjati, LLP, which became Martin, Cukjati & Richman, LLP until 2009.

In 2010 I moved to Boulder, Colorado after being admitted to the Colorado bar mostly so my kids and I could spend free time in the mountains. I started a solo practice and focused on family law cases. I litigated many cases involving child custody, division of property, and child support in courts throughout the northern Front Range. After participating in several hundred mediations on behalf of parties and seeing how costly and uncertain litigation can be I decided to start mediating cases myself and took the Colorado Bar Association's 40 hour mediation training.

I eventually made the jump to the Western Slope to practice family law, mediation, and general civil law in the Four Corners area.

• Completed 40 hour mediation training through State Bar of Colorado

• Awarded mediator contract with Office of Dispute Resolution, Colorado Judicial Branch

​

Member Colorado Collaborative Divorce Professionals; State Bar of Colorado, Family Law Section, Alternative Dispute Resolution Section, and Southwestern Colorado Bar Association

Current member of Board of Directors for the Mancos Valley Chamber of Commerce
